Our client is a well-established manufacturing company located in Riverside, CA, committed to innovation, quality, and operational excellence. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive supply chain efficiency.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in supplier relationship management, cost control, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing and terms
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and inventory teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards
• Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
• Lead and mentor purchasing staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing, and vendor negotiation
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• APICS, CPM, or related certification preferred

Compensation: $80k - $100k
