Position: Front-End Developer (Next.js), to Support Imagination Platform via CrowdDoing Location: 100% Virtual/Remote About the Imagination Platform: The Imagination Platform is an innovative digital space that supports educational equity, creative learning, and global mentorship. It features interactive components like "RiverRuns" and "Passports" connecting mentors, learners, and changemakers worldwide. We seek passionate front-end developers to help maintain and enhance this impactful platform. Key Responsibilities: Address platform issues affecting user experience (e.g., RiverRuns not displaying in Passports) Collaborate with team members to diagnose issues, design solutions, and review code Document work in Asana, categorizing issues by component Participate in weekly virtual standups and sprint planning Improve bug reporting processes and maintain organized backlog Mentor less experienced volunteers as appropriate Qualifications: Experience with React; Next.js preferred or willingness to learn Understanding of front-end development principles and responsive design Familiarity with GitHub and project management tools like Asana Self-motivated with ability to work independently Passion for supporting educational initiatives through technical skills Tools You'll Use: Collaboration: GitHub Project Management: Asana Communication: Slack and weekly video meetings Current Technical Challenges: RiverRuns components not displaying properly Submission data not appearing after activities UI elements not updating after backend changes Your contribution will directly help resolve these issues and improve the platform for users worldwide.
