PAY RANGE:
$56,000 - $65,000 Annually

HOURS/AVAILABILITY:

Monday-Friday (some nights and weekends as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you a strong recruiter who loves connecting people to purpose? The YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to guide our recruitment operations and help grow a passionate, diverse team across Oʻahu. In this role, you’ll manage the daily work of our acquisition team, support hiring managers through the recruitment process, and champion inclusive, values-driven hiring practices.

 

This is a hands-on team lead role—you’ll recruit, coordinate, and coach, all while helping improve systems that make our hiring process more efficient and equitable.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

  • Serve as the point person for recruitment needs across the association

     
  • Supervise and support acquisition staff in their daily work

     
  • Post jobs, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews and offers

     
  • Work with HR and leadership on improving candidate experience and outreach

     
  • Help track key metrics and ensure legal compliance in hiring

     
  • Represent the YMCA at job fairs and community outreach events
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition; nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience with inclusive hiring practices and equitable candidate evaluation methods.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, particularly related to EEO and fair hiring.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., JazzHR, BambooHR, iCIMS, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
