Freeport High School is looking for a full time Special Education Teacher to deliver individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in both pull-out and push-in service models. This includes providing direct academic instruction, assisting with social-emotional development, and ensuring students can access the general education curriculum. The teacher will collaborate with general education staff, develop and implement IEPs, and manage caseloads, including tracking student progress, conducting observations, and maintaining regular communication with families. The role requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, advocating for students’ needs, and employing evidence-based strategies to ensure academic success and social integration.
Requirements :
Must hold valid 282- Teacher of Children with Disabilities Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
