Purchasing Manager (San Francisco, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a mission-driven organization in San Francisco, CA in search of a Purchasing Manager to support the development and execution of a comprehensive procurement program.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement and vendor management. They are experienced in sourcing, negotiating, and implementing purchasing systems, and are comfortable working cross-functionally with teams such as IT, facilities, transportation, and safety. A successful candidate will be resourceful, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement planning and implementation across departments.
• Evaluate and improve purchasing and inventory systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and conduct performance reviews.
• Administer purchasing software and support system upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing with organizational needs.
• Supervise purchasing staff and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience leading a purchasing/procurement function, preferably in a regulated or service-oriented environment.
• 4+ years of sourcing experience including strategy development, supplier analysis, and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated experience with procurement software systems.
• Strong analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing platforms.

Job Type: Contract (4 week duration)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA

Hours: Full-time, standard business hours

Pay Rate: $55-$60/hour, depending on experience
