Purchasing Manager – Construction or Landscape Industry

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations. This is a key on-site role in Riverside, CA, ideal for someone with a background in the construction or landscape industry who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Procurement

• Develop and manage purchasing strategies to support business goals
• Source materials, equipment, and services to meet operational needs

Vendor & Supplier Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure value and reliability

Inventory & Cost Management

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast needs
• Track purchasing budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities

Process & Compliance

• Ensure procurement processes align with company policies and industry regulations
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance

Team Leadership

• Supervise and support purchasing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team
• Provide training and guidance to ensure best practices are followed

Market Awareness

• Stay informed on market trends, pricing shifts, and new product developments
• Use data and insights to improve procurement decisions and processes

Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activity, vendor performance, and cost analysis

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in purchasing, preferably in the construction or landscape industry
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills
• Bachelor's Degree- Business Administration, Supply Chain Management
• 5 years of Purchasing experience
• Familiarity with procurement software and inventory systems
• CPM, CPSM Certification preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Riverside, CA
