PURCHASING ASSISTANT

The Purchasing Assistant at Cembre Inc. will work closely with our Purchasing Administrator to support business operations.

Role Expectations

• Booking of shipments received via Sea Freight, Air Freight, or local suppliers.
• Coordinate and create documentation for intercompany shipments of samples, non-stock materials etc.
• Review AF and SF packing lists to allocate products for backorders, update BO and FA logs.
• Keep backorder and future action log updated with accurate delivery dates.
• Generate and distribute weekly inventory report.
• Collaborate with shipping companies to follow up on deliveries of AF, SF and DHL shipments.
• Back up the Purchasing Administrator with tasks including but not limited too:
• Review and execute PO for daily back orders
• Other various duties including transfer price requests, checking stock at headquarters, status updates and new code requests

Core Competencies

• At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing position.
• In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems.
• Experience using SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
