What You'll Be Doing The Private Banking Advisor’s primary purpose is identifying, cultivating, and introducing new private wealth management relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, endowments, and foundations. This person works closely with Private Banking and builds a team around the clients that includes Private Bankers, Asset Relationship Managers, Wealth Specialists, and other CIBC lines of business (commercial, capital markets) to provide a cohesive value proposition to clients or prospects. How You'll Succeed The focus is on growth through new relationships and opportunities, as well as expanding existing relationships. Identify, source, and lead new high-net-worth client relationships utilizing CIBC’s Private Wealth Platform and solutions, including Private Banking Loans, Deposits, and Assets under Management & Administration. Serve as the trusted advisor, leading overall relationship strategy, and surround the client with specialists (Private Banker, Investment Manager, Trust Advisor). Focus on external calling and marketing efforts. Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in CRM/Salesforce. Establish effective partnerships and teamwork to ensure professional, seamless, and timely service delivery. Act as the primary client advisor and support team members in delivering products and solutions. Cultivate relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build the business and identify new opportunities. Guide client conversations for life-driven wealth management through proactive advice. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Wealth Advisory solutions, including banking products, asset management, estate and financial planning, and capital markets. Identify opportunities for relationship expansion across all CIBC lines of business through referrals to specialists. Contribute to CIBC Wealth Management growth by acquiring new high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with sophisticated financial needs. Develop and maintain personal referral networks to build a pipeline of prospects. Understand and adhere to internal policies, managing relationship risks appropriately. Mentor and support the growth of team members. Collaborate with internal partners and external advisors to identify client needs and develop advice-driven solutions. Travel as needed to meet clients, considering revenue and service requirements. Promote a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects the CIBC brand. Who You Are A dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in business development and relationship management, capable of effectively gathering wealth management assets and delivering banking solutions. Experience working in a team environment, introducing investment, trust, and banking solutions to high-net-worth clients, families, and institutions. Minimum 10 years of experience in high-net-worth wealth management or related asset, lending, or deposit growth fields. Knowledge of credit, lending, investment strategy, trust administration, and wealth management solutions. Client-centric, engaging with purpose to find the right solutions, and willing to go the extra mile. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset. Passionate about people, respectful of diverse perspectives, and eager to learn from others. Motivated by collective success, valuing teamwork and an inclusive work environment. Forward-thinking, seeking new opportunities and defining what’s possible. Bachelor’s degree or higher, with preferred certifications such as MBA, JD, CFP, CFA, CTFA, or CPA.
