Powder Coating Technician
$24-$32/HR DOE
Day Shift
Monday-Thursday
Occasional overtime as needed

Martin Door is seeking a skilled Powder Coating Technician to join our team, specializing in the coating of steel and aluminum components for residential and commercial garage doors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with powder coating processes, surface preparation, and the use of coating equipment to apply durable finishes that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities:

1. Apply powder coating to steel and aluminum components, ensuring high-quality finishes.
2. Prepare steel and aluminum surfaces for coating using various methods.
3. Operate and maintain powder coating equipment (spray guns, curing ovens, etc.).
4. Monitor the curing process to ensure correct temperature and time settings.
5. Inspect coated steel for quality control and ensure it meets aesthetic and functional standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the coating process or equipment.
7. Record and maintain acceptable water discharge standards.
8. Maintain accurate records of each project, including coating thickness and any quality inspections.
9. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while handling materials.

Marginal Duties:

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in powder coating.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform quality control checks.
• Familiarity with powder coating equipment and surface preparation techniques.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards (PPE, ventilation, fire safety, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Education and Experience: 

• Minimum 2 years of powder coating experience in a manufacturing setting.
