Job Title: Electronics Technician I
Job Description

Join our team as an Electronics Technician I, where you will have the opportunity to build and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies. This role requires the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and specifications, working Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. You will be a vital part of a growing company, contributing to the expansion of our 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
• Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches.
• Maintain necessary documentation to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Perform operations such as deburring, grinding, and sawing.
• Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience with wiring harnesses or components.
• Experience with various wire gauges, types, and sizes.
• Ability to work from blueprints/schematics.
• Experience with control panel building.
• Experience in operating hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in control panel building, wiring, and reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Understanding of electrical currents.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels.
• Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panels.
• Experience with ladder logic schematics and drilling/tapping sheet metal.

Work Environment

The role involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 30 pounds, frequent use of hand tools, and long periods of standing. Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment, requiring the use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Safety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant. Certifications may be necessary based on function, including lock out/tag out and fork truck certification. Other personal protective equipment may be required for specific tasks such as drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, lifting, and moving materials.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.44 - $25.44/hr.
