Job Description


The Director, Federal Government Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance Stellantis' U.S. political, legislative and regulatory objectives in the areas of safety, transportation, and technology policy (e.g., privacy, data, telecom), as well as related issues. In advocating for Stellantis' priorities, the Director will engage members of Congress, Congressional staff, and Administration officials directly and through the company's trade associations and consultants, in coordination with Stellantis Public Affairs in other markets and regions as appropriate. The Director will analyze U.S. legislative and regulatory developments within their areas of expertise and keep internal clients (e.g., General Counsel, privacy office, regulatory compliance, connected services, software engineering, planning, and others) informed of potential impacts on Stellantis. The Director will draft and edit position papers, Congressional testimony, and other materials to convey Stellantis positions internally and externally. The Director will handle other tasks as assigned. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, North America.
















Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of transportation, technology, and related policies issues

  • 8+ years' experience working in Congress, the Executive Branch or government relations for a company or trade association

  • Knowledge of the U.S federal legislative and regulatory processes.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • J.D. or other advanced degree in a relevant field

  • Experience working with FMVSS and NHTSA

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Strategic; Good judgment, Creative Thinker & Dependable


  • Willingness to travel domestically
