Job Summary: Call Center Representative

The Call Center Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of scheduling a patient's surgery while acting as the liaison between patients, physicians, and surgical facilities. This role ensures seamless coordination of the surgical process, pre-surgical testing, authorizations, and physician OR block time. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume call environment and consistently delivers superior patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, pre-surgical testing, and physician OR block time.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and external facilities.

• Obtain necessary authorizations and ensure accurate documentation.

• Triage incoming calls from patients, ERs, and outside facilities to appropriate staff or providers.

• Retrieve and forward messages from the main and prescription refill lines to MDs and medical assistants.

• Maintain patient safety, satisfaction, and communication throughout the surgical scheduling process.

Required Qualifications:

• Customer service experience in a high call-volume environment.

• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and external facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

• Experience handling a high volume of phone calls in a professional setting.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:15pm.
