Job Summary: Call Center Representative
The Call Center Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of scheduling a patient's surgery while acting as the liaison between patients, physicians, and surgical facilities. This role ensures seamless coordination of the surgical process, pre-surgical testing, authorizations, and physician OR block time. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume call environment and consistently delivers superior patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, pre-surgical testing, and physician OR block time.
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and external facilities.
Obtain necessary authorizations and ensure accurate documentation.
Triage incoming calls from patients, ERs, and outside facilities to appropriate staff or providers.
Retrieve and forward messages from the main and prescription refill lines to MDs and medical assistants.
Maintain patient safety, satisfaction, and communication throughout the surgical scheduling process.
Required Qualifications:
Customer service experience in a high call-volume environment.
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and external facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Experience handling a high volume of phone calls in a professional setting.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:15pm.
